Website Deployment
The new SOMA website was deployed August 14th. All your familiar features are still available. If you have need to find a feature, please first under the appropriate menus. The deployment is still a work in progress. I did my best to get all the features online that everyone will need, but if you find that you are missing something please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ASAP so I can help before classes begin.
For Members
When you are logged in, a new menu will appear at the menu bar called "Member Portal". This menu will have all the administrative functions for managing your profile, accessing the clerkship database, getting your discount codes.
To register for conventions, you will access the convention's page under "Inside SOMA->Conventions"
For Chapter Officers
Your site is located under Inside SOMA->Chapter Information->Chapter Officers. Within this menu you will find the ability to look up your chapter members and informational pages to help you in your position. SOMA now has given you the ability to post content to the SOMA website for your members. You can add events and information to your chapter's google calendar and link it to your chapters site in studentdo.com. Checkout AZCOM's website for ideas you can do for your chapter's site. To manage your chapter's site contact your regional officer for credentials to login. The chapter's websites are managed by regions. So each region administrator site will host the chapter websites. The sites are located at:
- region 1 - http://admin.region1.studentdo.com
- region 2 - http://admin.region2.studentdo.com
- region 3 - http://admin.region3.studentdo.com
- region 4 - http://admin.region4.studentdo.com
Be sure to check out the new SOMA Email Service for your convenience to manage communication between you and your chapter members. The service is still in beta testing. I will post a new SOMA News article about the service when testing is complete.
For National Officers
When you are logged in, you will see a new menu called "Officer Portal" at the menu bar. You will see all the familiar links as on the old site, with the addition of National Leadership Site. This section of the site is there to document your programs for incoming leaders. You can create an article for your position and write information what is important to hand down to the next leader of that position. This section also contains administrative functions for adding chapter leadership positions, uploading files to the web server, and searching for members and donors.
